First birthday only comes once

We enjoyed all sorts of birthday fun which also included my first ever hammock ride with mom - man that thing can swing weeeeeee! Btw, i gotta give a shout out to Liam for really rocking the birthday hat.

4 makes a party

So this past saturday i celebrated turning the big 1 with my three bestest friends in the whole world - Liam, Tova and Iris. We kicked back in the Norther LIberties, had a few beers, ate some yummy veggies and hummus and lastly partook in the yummy goodness of the almighty frosted cup cake.

I love Auntie Melissa. She holds me hand while I walk, reads me books, and soon we will be able to share shoes. Yeah!

Before it ever began, i had to take a quick nap to amp myself up for the joint birthday festivities. I always know how to make an entrance.

One Year Facts and Stats

So, had my one year appointment today. To my parents disbelief, I am still relatively small. I have gain 11 1/2 pounds and 9 1/2 inches over the past year. My weight stays in the 5th percentile but height, which was 15th percentile at birth is up to 40th percentile. Not too bad. Evidently all the food I have been shoveling in over the last 3 months has contributed to growth in height (5 inches) and not in girth (just under 2 lbs). Oh well. Hopefully this is a signal of good metabolism in the future.

Ok so mom and dad really let me go at it and of course it all ended with me naked in a bathtub - There's nothing like being covered head to toe in the loving goodness of chocolate and mom's homemade birthday cake - thanks mom and dad, i really love you guys - can't wait to do it again next year.

I had a great time tonight with my cousins Sam and Charlotte, my Auntie Bethany, my bff Liam his dad Will, and baby Gabe and his mama and pop Auntie Heather and Uncle Serge. I am ONE! YEAH!
