Mom sticks her tongue and so do I. I'm liking my tongue these days - just one of the many new body parts that are slowly being uncovered on a daily basis - yesterday i found my nose, can you believe it took me that long?
So Girls Weekend was kind of in effect (we missed you Auntie Sandra) with the visit of my Aunts Erin and Alyson. From lands far and away (Albany, NY & Exeter, NH via Iselin, NJ) they treked through wind and rain to get a piece of me...literally. Okay, so they are not actually eating me but they said they would. Can't wait to Enjoy Troy and learn how to "punch it out" while debating trapped in the closet.
Grandma likes to cook without her hearing aids on. What that means for the rest of us is a lot of noise. She loves to bang around pots and pans. Therefore, I have to sleep with my hands over my ears. Grandma!! WEAR YOUR HEARING AIDS!!
Ok, i was able to get my hands on a baby pic of my dad (with my aunt bethany) and a baby pic of my Uncle Mikey. After figuring out Dad's scanner set up and doing a quick photoshop tutorial, i am now able to share them with you (still waiting on mom's baby pic).
So today mom decided to give me my first taste of the Philadelphia public transit system. The bus is cool and i especially like the 33 (very cool accordion like thing). Can't wait for the subway but mom says the trolley makes her sick.
My parents are instilling the value of giving back to the community hence the funny button pinned to my head! Hey, i'm fifteen days old and already involved in Mom's social activism - i think i see my future.
As do all good east coasters, we hit the pumpkin patch at MerryMead Farms to get our carvin' on! It was a long car ride which made opening my eyes an incredibly difficult task. But of course i was able to throw down some Philly gangsta signs on top of a mad heap of pumpkins - yaaaa wad up Wallace St in da houze!
Oh yeah, my cousins Sam and Charlotte (and Fisher and Bailey) were there too. Check out their pumpkin choosing teamwork and slick pumpkin posing styles.
Today i am 2 weeks old. I can't believe that it's taken me 14 days to notice these funny animals hanging from above my head. Grandma thinks i like the elephant more than the lion but my real secret is that the funny red bird is my favorite.
Nacho woke up this morning, stretched across the bed and tried to give me a birthday lick. He's so lazy.
Lets face it, it's not fun to always sleep on your back. My parents imagine that this is what i was doing in the womb - plus it keeps the back of my head from getting too flat. Hey a girl has to look good.
As many of you know mornings are not my mon's strong suit. That boopy is technically a breast feeding pillow, don't ask me why it's under her head. and nacho, he's used to getting morning snuggle face with mom, all he gets now is her hip or backside. In the end however, i get some playtime in and i'm a pretty happy camper.
People wonder what babies eat and how they can be so into breast milk. All I have to say is that if the person providing you food was getting to eat this, you would be happy too.
There is much debate as to who I resemble. Send it to my moms peeps and they say "she's a cederbaum". Send it to dads peeps and they say "a little schrier!" My mom and dad are more diplomatic; eyes and nose are Cederbaum and lips, chin, and ears are Schrier. To prove her point, mom says to post pictures of Grandpa Steve...let me know what you think...
